Message: replace the bulb I have seen many new bulbs that
are shorted across also check the wires and plugs
may have gotten wet and shorting spray out with
carb or break clean, starting fluid will also
disipate the water

Message: keith, with the left signal on does the right side faintly flash?poor ground will cause this by pulling ground through the wiring from other lights
this is more so on newer vehicles that use a one wire ground with multi-items sliced to it
like Larry said a bulb with a short can cause this same weirdness
