Message: I dont believe you can do that easily. your overdrive is computer controlled and if you went carbed you would need to remove all of the computer components and the computer, so then you would not have overdrive or a locking torque converter. but the motor should run.

Message: The intake manifold will not accept the standard carb flange....that'll have to be changed, or a slick adapter will have to be fabbed. The overdrive and lockup converter can be controlled by a single 99-cent toggle switch. You will also need to get the pre-TBI-style ignition and bypass the ASD relay...basically splicing two wires. And, don't forget the fuel pressure regulator. Mallory has a great single inlet, dual outlet unit. I use it. Set the pressure at around 6psi, plumb the main line to the carb, and the secondary line to the fuel tank return line you already have.
