Message: At 10000 km, your plugs are fine. Take it in for warranty work.

Message: I have a 3.7L V6 2004 quad cab. It runs rough on occasion also. I brought it up to the Dodge mechanic and he said it was normal. He stated the V8 was worse. I have since stopped worrying about it. I don't think it is anything to be concerned about.

Message: Wow, I had the same problem. I got mine used with about 38,000 miles. I took it in right after we got it and played dumb and said, "it seems to run rough." The service advisor said "yes it is, we will look at it." They then came back and said "Everything is ok, it's just the V6." I then told him what he told me, and to fix it. It was then fixed, huh.... Dodge has to be the worst with service. I would take it somewhere else, and play stupid, let them try to sell you something, then stick it to them. That has ALWAYS worked for me. Good luck.

Message: it is NOT normal. where do these dealers get this stuff. if it was maybe late 60's early 70's carberated(sp?) tech i would believe that.

Message: Wasn't there recently a TSB issued for something that caused a rough idle in the 3.7L engines?

Message: check the plug wires make sure they are in the proper firing order.I bought a used 2001 dodge dakota that ran rough took it to the dealer they couldn't find anything wrong .I did some trouble shooting on my own and found the firing order of the plugs to be off.I had to replace the spark plugs they were burnt up .I also had to replace oxygen sensor and catalytic convertor but these were covered by the warranty.I have driven about 30,000 trouble free miles since then.I feel this truck must have came from the factory this way and that is why the previous owner traded it.
