Subject: 3923's good choice for '01? IP: Logged
Message: just bought autolight 3923's for my 2001 dak 3.9 v6 auto 4x4. are they the best choice and what should i gap them at? i have a k&n air filter an got a great boost for $50. getting a flowmaster delta 50 series 2.5 in/out tomorrow. couldn't find any 180 thermostats except for a duralast and will install that tomorrow. everything else is stock. any suggestion, comments??

Message: I have mine gapped at .50 because I am running an Accel super coil and anMSD 6A. If you are running a normal ignition system, then there is no need to change the gap from what is called for which I believe is .40.
I have been using Robet Shaw TSTATs for years. The reason is I have never had one fail. that does not mean others are not good, I just prefer Robert Shwa.
