Subject: Manual trans IP: Logged
Message: I have a 93 Dakota. Replaced clutch and the guy at Checker says use 80-90 gear oil in the trans. Now it is difficult to shift after it gets warm and the clutch is fully disengaged. Does anuone know what type of tranny fluid a 5 speed behind a 3.9L V6 takes.

Message: i don't know about the older AX15 manuals but my '00 w/ NV3500 says to use like a 30w oil. maybe that the older ones use 30w oil also. that would make it harder to shift.
