Message: Here is my story: I heard nothing but good things about KRC, however, I had work done there last year. I have had nothing but problems with my truck (2003 Dakota R/T). I am not sure if Marty did the work to my truck or one of the other suspects. I should'nt matter in a business environment where everyone should be expected to be ethical and honest.
I had a lot work done and I can say a couple facts. The Dyno sheets they presented me were bogus. I went to 2 other Dyno machines in Florida and the results of the other sources matched almost perfect. They were however significatly different than KRC's results. Both of the other Dyno runs were consistently about 50 Horsepower and 60 Ft/lbs torque less than KRC's results. I really am concerned that they have exagerated numbers and Dyno results for sales.
Another fact is that they said my computer was re-mapped to match all the mod's on my truck. The truck has run terrible since and they have tried to correct the problem to no avail. I won't ever take it back again.
I was also charged for the install of a Trans Go shift kit and Comp Cam stainless Roller rockers and a M1 that is supposed to be extrude honed($400 option). My brother (an ASE certified Master Mechanic) tried to help me get my truck running better by digging into KRC's work to see what the problem was. We found out that the M1 intake was not extrude honed like I paid for, the Trans Go shift kit was only partially installed, and yes you guessed it......not the roller rockers I paid for(they used a cheaper brand/model).
I called them about this and since more than 6 month's had passed, they declined to even look at my truck. KRC was acusing of swapping parts in the case of the extrude honed M1. KRC also conveniently used generic descriptions on the parts/labor receipt so it is impossible to prove in court what I really paid for.
I hate to say that there are few mechanics/shops that can charge an honest price for parts and labor. My brother has been in this industry for 12 years and he said he has seen this a hundred times. Most shops realize that what goes on under the hood by the mechanic is a mystery to the car owner. The only way to beat this is to do your own work which I will swear to do from hear on out.
Good luck everyone. Our power is to let every one else know what is going in these shady shops and close them down.

Message: Since you didn't leave your e-mail, I'll respond. That's not the way we do business. That's certainly not the way I want people to think we do business. Send me an e-mail at b1llyw@aol.com. I'm the co-owner along with Marty. I'd like to find out who you are and see what the heck happened.

Message: Try contacting us first, with a customer name for starts, and we can get to the bottom of this, if you are due some credit on our fault, whether mis communications, definately not ethical, then you need to contact us immediately. That way we can bring up your work order and verify any of these claims.
I do not nor any of the employees at KRC work un-ethically, I monitor all the parts in and out, no thieves have worked here ever since 5 years starting. As for a dyno reading 50 less, Mustangs and Dynojets don't mix, nor does weather, or later tunes. Contact us, and we will resolve this.

Message: Marty and Bill,
I'd just like to say that this guy's post is in no way influencing me to do business elsewhere since like already mentioned, he's posted anonymously, yet you guys have both replied trying to solve the problem. I've also seen your posts before, Bill, and I know you truly are sincere in what you're saying here.
Everyone else reading this... trust your sources before you believe them. An anonymous source usually isn't nearly as credible as a source with a name attached to it. If you think Bill and Marty are lying, look their usernames up, check out some of their other posts, and notice that they aren't just trying to look good in this post.

Message: Sounds like a BS story to me. M1, roller rockers and a ecu flash and the truck was running bad? Those are simple bolt-ons, not some crazy 408 with a big cam. If it was running so bad why didn't you turn right around and pulled back into the parking lot?
How creditable is his post?

Message: I wouldn't worry about this at all. Why? If the person is not willing to reveal himself, then there is no issue to dig into. Seems some people here only have the b@ll5 to flame under fake name. I know i've been flamed a few times like this.
I know I let everyone know when I'm unhappy. I was yelling at the parts counter at a local dealer here and it was because they sold me a defective $10 part. Just image if it was over $400!

Message: Did some checking from Quickbooks today, no Extrude manifolds were done, or Transgo's, or roller rockers, much less any labor job to a 2003 R/T by KRC Performance in the past year and a half.
Referring back to the super old post between Mr Montgomery and myself is old news.
Once again, if anyone has any problems, contact us directly and it will be handled in a professional manner. Do not post annonomously to bash us. Interestingly, we have a database of 6255 customers, with 5 of them that were not satisfied. So let me change this title thread to:
KRC-Rocks!
Later doods....
