Subject: high idle IP: Logged
Message: my 97 is idling at about 2500-3000 rpm. I have cleaned the throttle body thoroughly..a whole can of carb cleaner..,metered the tps, cleaned the air solenoid, etc. The idle adj. screw is where it out to be, when running the butterflies are closed . Replaced the air solenoid and had the same prob. Returned the new part...$88 worth.. After cleaning it idled at about 1500 then after some hard driving, ran right. Started running high again tonight. I live in charlotte, nc, extreme temp not really a prob. here. Any ideas?
