Message: Hey, Matt! Did you ever determine what was causing your RPM surge after you did your throttle body? All of a sudden, mine has a similar problem where it's cycling about 50 RPM or so, and it doesn't matter whether you're idling or cruising - it's cycling. Pretty aggravating.
Truck is an '02, Fastman, K&N drop-in, the rest is stock. Everything was cleaned up pretty good when the throttle body went on, and it's been probably 3-4K miles ago that was done.
I pulled the TPS, and it LOOKS OK. I don't have a meter to check voltage on it.

Message: Tucker,
Try a hard reset on you ECU, by diconnecting the the negative battery for 1 0r 2 minutes. Then start the truck up run for 1 minute, stop restart run a minute, stop restart for a minute, then stop and restart and leave it idle a couple of minutes, the rpm cyling up and down should be gone.
92 and 97 Daks both with many mods.

Message: I had the same problem but with my 90'Dakota sport. When I switched from 2nd gear to drive the RPMs surged through the roof. I had to cut the truck off during the surge to save my rear tires.
Please Help!!!!!!

Message: Sorry for the delay is responding. I did several things to try and correct the problem but most didn't work. Tried to reset the computer, returning computer to stock and then back to performance (with superchips 87) checked all vaccume lines, etc. Then I replaced the TPS with a MOPAR TPS and things work fine now (KNOCK ON WOOD!) One thing though is that it still shifts early some times from 2nd to 3rd about 4K and not 4800. I reinstalled superchips correctly and removed the RMP limiter. It will shift early sometimes and at others it's fine. Hope that helps.
Matt
