Subject: Alum Billet Grills?: feedback?prices? IP: Logged
Message: I am thinking about getting the Billet grills for my 2000 AF Sport and was wondering what other people expierences with them have been? good bad? what to look for when buying one and most of all any good quality and good priced places to get them.

Message: I have those same grilles on my Dakota.
I got them off eBay & paid $60 for the uppers. They had the valence piece for $45 and there was $6 shipping. There was a hood latch relocation kit that was included with the upper pieces. This guy has a website where he sells them but if you wait till they come up on eBay you save alot because he usually puts about 15 sets up at a time in a 'Dutch' auction. I think they look pretty good on my Dakota. They're held on by black wire ties, I had extra ties so I know mine aren't going anywhere. Can't see the ties unless you put your nose up in the grilles. I didn't really want to alter the front end where I couldn't change it back to stock so it works for me. You can check my profile if you want to see more pics.

Did you use a holesaw for the exhaust thru the rear bumper?

Message: I just bought the truck from some old guy who had it done at a shop..; and yes.. it looks like it was done with a hole saw.
