I bought a set of APC 3157 LED Brake Light Bulbs(I think, same number bulbs as in the owners manual.) They look really cool with my clears, but they mess up my turn siganl timing.. Instead of a blink-wait-blink-wait (factory) they Blink-Blink-Blink (really fast). I was wondering if ayway knows a fix for this.

Thanks in Advance

Have you fixed your blink-blink-blink problem?

The LED lights do not require the same amout of current A regular bulb does. I have seen when A bulb goes out, the blinker will go into high gear. look under your dash and find the blinker relay ( usually silver and round you will be able to feel it click when the blinker is on ) and change it to A smaller one that takes less current. Or put A load on the system.
someone correct me if I am wrong.

I recently bought some APC brand 3157 LED tail lights. I wasn't sure why after, I installed them, why my tail fuse, and brake light fuse blew. i took a meter to the LED bulb, and to my surprise found a direct short across 2 of the pins, both on one certain side of the bulb. there wasnt any marking or anything like that to distinguish the differences, but i put all of the bulbs in the same exact way, and the brake lights worked, and the parking lights still blew fuses. put them in the other way, and the parking lights work, and the brake light fuse blows. a faulty 3157 LED bulb? ALL SIX OF THEM HAD THIS DIRECT SHORT!! APC bulbs are cheap. dont waste your money. i also had some 3157 "hyper white" bulbs. they are blue, but supposedly, they put out white. these are cheap. the colored glass actually loses it's color over a short time from the heat of the bulb. in reality when they are brand new, the light emitted is nothing even close to a H.I.D. appearance. APC sucks!
