Subject: optix headlight strobes IP: Logged
Message: hey guys, i am planning on putting strobes in my headlights and i was wondering if optix strobes from advance auto parts where any good or not, like are they bright.
I just want a cheap pair for looks and i know that they are illegal, but i was also wondering if i used them to escort farm equiptment around without getting pulled over or anything like that.

Message: APC makes them, Optx and Streetglow (same company). Basically anyone that makes neons or lighting will usually make them. I dunno about how legal they are for escorting farm equipment. I'd say they prolly won't be legal then either, b/c people will mistake you for an emergency vehicle. You'd have to check your local laws on that.

Message: Don't go cheap when buying strobes. My experience with cheap strobes is that they do not last very long and the modules get messed up after some time. What I mean by that is that sometimes the lights will not flash, only one will flash, or they tend to flash inconsistently. Just my experience.
