Subject: Mud Flaps IP: Logged
Message: Do they really help protect the paint on a truck??
I do not particularly like them, but if they add
protection for my new Dakota, I am all for it.
Thanks for any info

Message: I have them front and rear. Since my truck has factory fender flares, I had to go with Mopar parts. It really does protect the paint. The front ones also keep all that road slop off the door sill.

Message: They work great, especially in combination with the fender flares. Just recently went mudding and got out and looked at the truck. All kinds of mud gunked on the flares and mud flaps, but the sides of the truck were relatively clean. Same thing when I drive in slush, all this gunk that used to get caked along the sides of the truck is mostly caught by the flaps.
