Subject: Redrilling Rims IP: Logged
Message: I was wondering, i want to buy rims that they do not currently have in our bolt pattern. Would it just be as simple as drilling new holes in the rims with a 6x4.5 setup or our there places who will do this for you?
Thanks

Message: Actually it's not that easy. You must keep in mind that the wheel needs to remain in balance. If you miss drill you can easily set the balance off far enough that you will never get a true balance. If this is something you want done I would recomend finding a machine shop or some other place that does machining that would be willing to handle this task.

Message: If your going through that much trouble, just design your own have them machined out of billet wheel blanks. May cost a bit, but would have one-of-a-kind wheels.

Message: Ask the place where you are buying the wheels about that. I know my buddy got some 20" Structures for his dak, and when he recieved them from discount tire, we noticed that they were redrilled, and have another 6-lug pattern on them that is most likely for like a chevy.
