I have a 2002 Dakota and changed out the stock 9007 light bulbs for some Sylvania Silverstars. While doing this, I stripped out the adjustment/alignment (torx) screws that hold the light assembly. I wanted to know how I could take those stubborn torx screws out.

Thanks in advance

Thanks gotanRT for the info. I wasn't sure if the "Drill-out/Screw-out" bit would work, but I'll give anything a try. I wanted to know if those bits from Sears would work on the alignment screws for the headlight or would it work only on the torx screw for the turn signal/corners? Some people say it won't work on the adjustment screws for the headlight.

pbxr the Silverstar's work great. In my opinion, the Silverstar's are a little bit brighter, whiter and half the price of the PIAA set that I had on before. These Silverstar's are street legal too. I tried those "blue tinted" lights. The blue tinted lights looked pretty cool but were too dark to see at night. I just ordered a pair of clear lens headlights from procarparts.com and I can't wait to see how they look with the Sylvania Silverstar's.

pbxr for more details on the silverstars go to:

Good luck with the screw removal. And thanks for the reply and link, I will check it out. I saw these at my local Adavance Auto, and ever since I bought the "blue" bulbs I have been sceptical. THey were too dark for me as well.

i bought the one set of 3 bits...they will turn out any kind of screw imaginable as long as the bit is bigger than the screw...just turn the drill really slowly...
