Subject: Removing Tree Sap IP: Logged
Message: I have several spots of dried pine (evergreen) tree sap on my Dakota's roof from two summers of camping in the Adirondacks. I can't seem to get them off -- have tried bug and tar remover, etc., and still no luck.
Anyone have any useful suggestions short of using a razor blade to scrape them off?!!?
Thanks.

Message: I use Goo Gone and has worked very well for me? I usually put some on a rag & wipe over the sap to disolve it away.

Message: Coated my wives new Dak with sap last year camping in Old Forge, used my high speed Snap On polisher and it is as good as new!!!! An orbital with some really good cutting/polishing paste like Zaino might do the trick also with much less elbow grease than goo gone or a good bug remover even.
Good-luck!!!
