I'm looking to upgrade my current 16x8's to the chrome R/T 17x9's. First, does anyone know if the computer can be reprogrammed to recognize the 17" wheels and tires? Secondly, I've also put some thought into getting the Ram 20's. Do those fit well on the Daks? Any rubbing against the fender wells? If everything goes to plan, I'll post some pics of my QC R/T.

I had my computer reprogrammed for the 17x9's before i changed them to the 20's..(now im about 10 mph off)...i have a 99 so i assume it can be done on ures...as far as the ram 20's...i believe they are 5 lug...dak's are 6..but if you put the right tires..(and adapters) on them...you souldnt have a problem

first, if u go from 16s to 17s, you can just get a little lower profile tires (to simply make up for the inch bigger rims). u can get tires for the 17s that are the same overall diameter as your 16" tires; so you dont have to reprogram anything. example: i went from 15s to 18s, and my speedometer is BARELY off! (like 3mph at 80mph)
2nd, like jeff said, the Ram 20s are five lug. you would need adapters, and that will make them STICK OUT ALOT!!
Hope this helps. Peace

Thanks fellas. That really helped out a lot. So now Ram 20's for me. :-) But I will get the chrome R/T 17's...no doubt about that.
