Message: Hello,
I'd like to upgrade my 9007 headlight bulbs (1999 Dakota). I've noticed that many of the aftermarket bulbs are way too bright, or too blue. I've have however seen some vehicles which have headlights which appear to have a slight bluish tint and are slightly brighter than stock....any recommendation on where I can find bulbs that fall in that realm and won't get me pulled over by Massachusetts Stateys (Here in Mass they are very particular about what you can and CAN'T do to your own vehicle)
I don't want to blind people on the road...I simply want a brighter and clearer bulb than the stock. The blue tinted bulbs seem to be clearer without that blinding light I see on many of the ricers.
Any help/recommendations are appreciated.

They were exactly like you describe and I might go get some more for my Dakota. "Very slight amount of blue color" which I think is less blinding for oncoming traffic. If you leave your high beams the same and just change the lows, you will notise the color difference.
I forget what they are called, sorry.

Message: I had a set of the Eurolite fusion bulbs that i got for under $20 on ebay. They were really great! BARELY any blue, just REALLY white. One of the low beams went after about a year, but i don't know if it was just a fluke or poor quality. but for that cheap, they were really great lights. now, i have some plasmaglows from ebay, which are stil real nice, but I THINK a little bluer. hope this helps.

Message: Go to www.midnightmoose.com and do a search for 9007 lights. They will bring up a few different ones. Just make sure to buy ones with e DOT approal on them and you will be fine. If the "Stateys" try to give you any shyte, you just need to carry the case the lights come in around with you that says they are DOT complaint. Eaglite makes a nice bluish looking 85W DOT approved replacement bulb.

Message: Thanks for the feedback folks. I started searching around and found many different wattages for the same 9007 bulb...highest so far was the 100
DOT approved seems to be the litmus I'll use to ensure they are not too bright.
