Subject: flamed window tint. IP: Logged
Message: I just had some Silver flames , with 35% tint behind it , put on today. On the passenger side , it looks like the water used ,froze. On the drivers side , looks fine. Just wondering if the passenger side will have to be redone , or will it be o.k?

Message: Leave it alone for now, try to keep that window rolled up and as warm as possible until the water evaporates, which should take 72 hours or so. Hopefully it shouldn't have affected the glue.
Any pictures?

Message: As soon as I find the camera , Ill post some pcs. The wife went on a cleaning spree , and now I cant find ANYTHING!! lol.
The truck stays outside , so I can't keep it warm. Its COLD here in Ohio. Its like 9 degrees here , and thats not counting the wind chill.
The guy that did it owns the shop , and said if I ever had any probs with it , he will fix it , so thats good.

Message: I don't know about yellow to match , but I think there is a yellow. I got a deal on it because the guy is gonna be at the next Lancaster Ohio Dakota meet , so if you can make it he will be there!! That will tke place the first Saturday of September. That is also where I am from , Lancaster Ohio.
It does take some time to get used to , you have to look through some of the flame to see out the mirrior , but not to bad.
Pic comming soon!!

Message: There is a variety of colors available for tinting... red, blue, yellow, green, purple, rainbow reflective, plus multiple shades of silver, grey, and limo tint.
The biggest issue is finding a place that will actually do the work, many places won't do dual layered tint, and it's virtually impossible to get any type of warranty out of the double layered jobs. Luckily mine took fine and I've had it on the truck for about 9 months now with no problems. It did take awhile to learn how to look through the flames though.

Message: Here you go... I shrank the photos a bit so they'd display here better.
Any type of aftermarket flame is cool, I get a lot of comments on them.
Mine were cut by hand by a local tint company, but there's a few companies that will sell pre-cut kits that they ship to you and you have applied at home or by a business.

Message: Hey, that looks pretty good....hmmm, so if i decide to go that route, my windows would have to be tinted 35 percent first(lowest legal here in TN) and put some silver flames on....how much is it for the extra silver flames to be put on? The tint itself at my local body shop is 70 bucks. Would it look good with 35 percent? Such as where can i get kits?

Message: The silver goes on first , then the tint. You can see through 'em. If I had to do it again , I would have reversed them , as I agree , they kindda look like they are upside down.

Message: They've held up so far so good even with 2 kids piling into this daily driver right and left, knock on wood.
I purchased a new pair of handles from the local Dodge dealer, a can of plastic primer from Pep Boys, a can of Mopar color-match (PSB in my case) spray paint from the local Dodge dealer, and then a can of clear coat spray paint from Pep Boys. I did not sand or otherwise pre-treat my handles. I sprayed 3 coats of primer, 2 coats of color, and 2 coats of clear coat before installing them on the truck. The color has held up very well even at car washes. Some anal judge at a car show might care about the difference in texture since I didn't sand them, but it works just fine for me and you can see in pictures that it matches well.
I used the same products to paint my fuse box, air hat, roof rails, etc. etc...
