Subject: tonneau covers IP: Logged
Message: i'm looking to have a tonneau cover installed on my 98 dak. sport. i've checked out the access covers on the web, but i'd like some input here as i'm not sure which way to go. but, i don't want 1 that snaps, as a boat owner i know that snaps are a p.i.a. if the cover shrinks in the cold. also, can these covers be locked down to protect tools etc. from theft? thanx for your advise.

Message: My Extang has snaps, but they are adjustable so it's somewhat easier to fasten in the cold. You can mount the cross rails high or low too, which gives you more play when the cover shrinks in the cold. It's still a bit of a struggle when it's cold, but letting the sun hit it for a while helps...
It fits an under rail bedliner with no mods. Over the rail requires cutting of the bedliner.
