i have a 01 dakota quad cab and saved for a system and now that i have the money im wondering how do i put a subwoofer in it i was thinkin of throwing one in the bed but i wouldnt hear could someone tell me a good idea for this truck and if u already have somthin like this done on your quad cab please tell me how u did it

I have a 2 door clubcad with a 60/40 rear bench. the back seat is pretty much a joke so i took out the 60 half and made a box with two 12's to fit in and bolt to the same brakets as the bench now no one can sit behind me and i can still get accces to the storege underneath.

Yup, I have a 2002 quad loaded including the 8 speaker system. I have no idea. I'd put one in, in a second. I think we're sh-t out of luck.

I had a special box make behind the rear seat and it holds 3- 8" jl audio subs.This thing rocks.

You can fit a ten in a custom made box behind the rear driver side seat. I know it is possible because I made one. Definitely not a lot of air space back there either. I put a MTX thunder 4000 10 in there and it sounds pretty crisp and clear. Of course it doesn't rattle your brains out but it is only one ten. The other alternative is to put a bed cover on and get a cut through box. Depends on how far you want to go. If you go with the cut through then your options are pretty much endless. Very expensive to have done though.

i got A 2001 quad i took out my center consol and put a box with two 8s in it i never used the center glovebox/armrest antway, not rattalen your nabors window bass but it sound great, it was wort given up my center glovebox
2001 quad,3 chamber flowmaster,many more mods to come

If you find a very qualified installer, you can use a method called a-periodic. it is like 'free air' except there you build an enclosure as small as possible UNDER THE TRUCK. cut you 10' in the floor, under a seat and you get smooth low bass. you will need alot of power which opens a new can of worms...where to put the amps. I would start by finding a custom shop that offers Image Dynamics products. I am very pleased with mine, it is a show stopper.

I have a 02 quad cab and i have 1 10" behind the passanger side back seat. The sub i am using is a plannet audio Neo sub. www.plannetaudiousa.com. The Sub is a 10" woofer but it has only about a 3" mounting depth. The box is not that big but it works pretty good. My box is as big as it can get with still being able to put the seat back in. Hey Guys,
I know your problem. I have been looking into that for 6 months. I have the solution. You can have the rear door panels remolded and the door reenforced to hold a couple of nice subs. Any high end car audio place can do the work. You don't have to give up the console or floor space. The new door panels will stick out a few inches but it works. Shop around. Also, I had the "A" pillars in front remolded to hold tweeters. They are aimed at the windshield to reflect back in to the cab. Looks factory. But you have to find a good shop that isn't doing it for the first time. Well worth the bucks.

Kevin, was that box bult just behind the 60% back seat or what? That is alot to fit behind there. re 2 subs behind the passanger side and one behind the drivers side??? Is it really hard bass or is it just a little bit? Do you by chance have the drawings of the box on the computer or something? thanx

In a quad cab I don't know, but in my extended cab underneath the rear fold down bench I have two 12" subs. I had took out the storage bin and mounted the subs on a 3/4" mdf plate that is the same shape as the top and front of the storage bin. I was also able to cheat another 1/2" of clearance by loosening the brackets for the fold down bench and sliding them up as far as I could. I ened up with about 3/4cu.ft total so next came the polyfill, and an amp that would push enough power for an airspace that size.

i have a 2002 Qc an for now i just took out the rear 60 and 40 seats and have 2 solobarics in a box laying where the seats were. i am working on getting another 40 seat for the back and making a box between the two 40 seats that away i can still have my center console.
