Subject: grille insert question IP: Logged
Message: Greeting All.
Just a quick question. Do the SS and/or the
Lund grille inserts require the removal of
the stock grille? I've thought about getting
a set of SS inserts or trying the 'guttergaurd'
but I'd rather not remove my stock grille,
Thanks.

Message: The Street Scene, Trenz, Stull, Lund, etc. billet grilles all require the removal of the factory grille. The only grille kit I know of that doesn't require its removal (besides homemade kits) is the one I have on my truck which is made by Mr. Grille at www.wee1.com (you can buy his kits off E-Bay for cheaper than direct).

Message: SinCity... Nice ride, looks good!
Your inserts don't look like billet inserts. Are they? Do you know Mr. Grille's e-bay user id? Is it Mr. Grille? How much $?
Thanks!

Message: I believe his E-Bay ID is wee1.
The bars are solid aluminum, about 1/4"-3/8" thick with small plates in back to hold the bars together. Keep in mind these are inexpensive grille overlays that sit in front of your factory grille and are held on by plastic cable ties. At the time I bought them I needed something cheap, and I've grown to like how they look on my truck, especially since they're so different than the rest.
You can spot his auctions on E-bay by the price - he sells the upper 4 pieces for $65.00, and it'll be listed under Dakota/Durango billet grille... When you click on the item you'll see a picture of the grilles and his company name.
