Message: I was thinking of putting blacklights in place of my interior lights.
1) Do they make them for interiors?
2) has anybody done this before?
3) Does it sound cheesy?
I did a search, found 3 posts, and didn't get much out of it. btw I'm talking about the inside roof light and the 2 overhead conv. lights
thanks, and I apologize if this is one of those "it's been answered 1,000 times" question (like the corners lol).

Message: I don't think they make UV bulbs as small as you'd need to use in factory locations, and I haven't seen any DC voltage UV bulbs. You could get an AC-DC converter and figure out how to integrate a home lamp into your car, but it'd be a lot of money and effort for something that wouldn't come close to being in a stock location.
The only alternatives I can think of for trick interior lighting would be to use colored replacement bulbs or buy some automotive neon tubes.
I personally think interior neon looks like crap, but that's just my opinion.

Message: I put the blue colored bulbs in the overhead lights.
Well looked good for a few days, then turned an orange
color slowly. They were the cheap ones from autozone.
If you go that way,, get some colored glass ones
and not the coated ones.
They're not black lights, but they looked good. :)

Message: I'm sure you could find some small bulbs....Do they make flourecent black lights (long tube lights)?
I think it's illegal though to have any kind of accessory light on while driving though.
Sounds interesting,,,freak other people out when eyes are glowing!

Message: No see that's what I don't want, are the tubes, I don't want to have the light on while I drive, all the punk kids in my neighborhood have those, I just wanted replacement bulbs for the interior. I though it would look cool when you turn on the light and it was different than OE.
BTW
I don't mean to sound pissed at all,
thanks for your help, it was a spontaneous thought, and figured I'd bring it up and see if you guys/gals give me some info (which you did, thanks)
