Message: I know theres a post already for this, but I have some specific questions.
1. I know the rims are 17" but what are the tire sizes? 2??/?? R17...
2.for the Sport guys that have them, how is the ride and control afterwards?
3.What impact is there on the speedo (+ -)?
4.Does the PCM have to be reprogrammed after the swap?
5.fender flares/no fender flares?
I really want to put on some nice, wide wheels and some low profile tires for the summer to give it a better look and a nice ride.
Are there any suggestions for something other then the RT wheels? American Racing Torque Trust, Budnik, etc.?

Message: 255/55/17 is the tire size....its an odd size, so
most people who switch to a higher
performance aftermarket tire are using
255/50/17.
it shouldnt effect your speedo, and you wont
have to flash your pcm. the diff in dia
compared to the stock 15" wheel and tire is
like 0.3" I believe.
fender flares would look much better, I just got
handed a set of black ones, but they need to
be painted, and one was run over and
dragged for a couple of feet :( prob cheaper to
buy a new set, than get them prepped and
painted again.
the timeless 6 from boyd coddington look real
nice on the daks...blackdak00 has a set on
his...nice!

Message: I thought the RT rims would be wider then the sport. I currently have 255/60 R15.....I thought they would have been something like 275's.
Hmmmmmm.... I'd really like to get a wider set...something in the 275/285 range. A friend of mine has 305s on a set of AR wheels without flares and it looks really $hitty...don't tell him I said that. But something in the 285/50 R17/18 would be nice on there.
Any tire suggestions? Michelin, Dunlop, GoodYear, etc.?

Message: If you can find a 285/45/17 or 285/50/17 tire let me and the rest of the world know!!! Most R/T owners switch to a 275/50 tire on the R/T rims. They are 17x9 rims. Definitly need fender flares for the look though. They stick out past the fender wells, and a Dak with fender flares just looks better.
