Message: ive got a 99 v6 3.9 QC dak and i love her to death. other than the fact that the cat goes bad every couple months seems like. anyway i wanna give her a little lift but im already gettin only about 16 miles to the gallon, and of course feel like i have no power from this damn engine. A couple questions, if i get a 2" lift do i need bigger tires for it not to look stupid. Would you reccomend a body or suspension lift(im really not going to be doin much off roadin, just for looks.)How much is any of that going to cost? And how will all this affect my gas mileage and acceleration of my truck. Thanks so much.

Message: Dakman, if you were going to be looking for just looks than i would suggest you go with a body lift, but make it a 3" not a 2". With the amount of work your gonna put into it you might as well go with the 3". If you go with a 3" Suspension lift your going to lose your factory ride quality, with a body lift you will retain your factory ride.

Message: Now that i think about it, fort worth is right, the QC didn't come out until '00. By the way Fort worth my truck look almost the same as your truck, same color, same trim, but mines not as tall. Awesome looking truck though.

Message: yeah it is a 99, i cant keep the QC CC stuff straight, why cant someone just call it extended cab EC? anyway it doesnt have 4 doors. So how much is a 3" lift going to cost, and would keeping my old 31" all terrain tires on their make it look bad?

Message: It depends on which 3" you want:
Rancho Susp. 3" W/ shocks: $1355.95 plus shipping
(Thats from 4-wheel parts wholesaler)
Perform. Acces. 3" Body lift $157.95 plus shipping
(Thats from Summit Racing)
Let me make a suggestion, get the body lift, crank the torsions up a little, and get a set of 15x10's and a nice looking set of 32x11.50R15's. A buddy of mine has a '00 Dakota set up just like that and it looks good.
