Subject: skid plates for T.C lift? IP: Logged
Message: Anyone know where I can find skid plates to protect my front diff and lift bracketry that will also bolt up with the TC lift? I've looked around but haven't been able to find anything. Wanted to find out before I looked into trying to get something custom fabricated.

Message: One way is to get a prerunner light bar and then have a custom shop add two bars up from the existing holes for the front sway bar and then add a piece of metal over top of that. I don't have it yet, but in the next month or two I plan on getting it done. The guy who is doing it for me said it will cost about $200 for the skid plate and two bars. The light bar I already have on.

Message: Your best bet is custom made by a local place that does lazer or plasma cutting and has a sheet metal bender. Fabtech has some neat ones that attach to the prerunner bar but would have to be modified to fit.
BTW: I checked out you truck on the general board, it's pretty sweet.

Message: thanks for the compliment...the pic didn't come up though. I'm going to look around town for a machine shop that might be able to do something. I appreciate the feedback guys. If you get a chance try to post the pic again.

Message: cheapest way i would get something like that done was to visit a fab shop, a little bit of weld work, and there are your skid plates.
