Message: 12 hours of non-stop work. you need a lot of special tools as well, which could slow things down. the coil compressor for my springs cost 250.00 alone, and thats how much i was quoted for an install.

Message: You can usually borrow some of those tools from somewhere like O'Rilleys or Auto Zone or somewhere like that.
If you've never done it before and you don't have a friend to help you that has.. I perfonally wouldn't undertake that task again. I dug my self into a whole nasty bag o' worms.

Message: $250 for a coil spring compresser? I bought mine at Harbor Frieght for $13.00. Only problem with the new ones is that it comes painted and it really doesn't catch the spring very well. Also on the Dak's, DO NOT forget the washers between the upper ball joint and the castle nut. Theres two washers that go on each one. I forgot mine and it couldn't be aligned. Called FabTech support and that was the first thing they asked me. It took me about two days to do the kit with a friend of mine. Good Luck, Greg
