Well, I got my lift finally. Took a week to get all the parts and put them all on..
The whole front end was rebuilt, steering knuckles, tie-rod ends, ball
joints, idler and pitman arm, rotors, calipers, and pads. Glen was nice
enough to host some pics for me. Here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Truck looks good! Is that the Rancho suspension lift that everybody is waiting for? I thought it wasn't going to be out 'till fall? And it was going to be 2.5"? I can't tell from the pix, but are the ends of the torsion bars relocated too to keep the proper geometry? How much did it cost, the entire package. Any info would be great. thanks!

Finally...someone posted some better pics of the rancho lift. Truck looks good...mines coming in a couple of weeks. Was it hard to install? Any particular difficulties? I want to install mine myself and save the money so any help would be appreciated.

I didn't do the installation.. I'm limited to time, tools, and a place to do it. Plus the whole front end was rebuilt. Since they had it all apart i had them replace anything that looked bad and then some. It needs to break in a bit them i'm going to crank the torsion bars up an inch or so.. it's still a little low in the front end. I'm waiting for the tires i have on it to wear out then i'm getting new wheels and tires. I'm hoping to fit some 33x13.5's on it on a 10" rim.. I have yet to pick a tire or rim out. And i've yet to find anyone who has put a rancho 3" on by it's self. Most i've seen are 3" rancho and 3" body lift. So if you know of anyone running a 3" rancho lemme know, i need to ask some questions about backspacing and rim/tire size.. Later, Hop

I've not heard of 13.50's on an 8" wheel before ... might be a little wide. Dunno though, it might work.

I'll make you a real good deal on the Mickeys if you want them, hop!!! ;o)

Last I checked, 12.50's fit on 8 inch rims fine. I'll have to look around though and see if I can find anyone around these parts running them.

It's hard to get a good perspective when the photographer kneels or crouches down like he's doing. I never look at my truck from that low down. I know he's trying to make the truck look taller but but photos from that angle look like crap IMO. I think the truck would look pretty good though. Will look even better when you crank the torsion bars a little. I can't wait for the the 2000+ kit to come out.

Well, I took the truck out to South Padre Island this weekend. It was great, with the new shocks and all the balljoints replaced the truck handled great. My only complaint is the stock bumper. My brother was out there in his 98 ram 1500 2wd w/ a 360 and he got stuck.. Well, i have a POS rope in the back about 1/2-3/4" in dia. I wraped one end around the front sway bar on his truck and the other on the ball that was attached to my stock bumper.. well.. i gave it a good tug and now the ball on my bumper is pointing straight back.. not good.. looks like i'll need to buy a new bumper.. Sad part is my bro's truck had no damage and it taco'd my bumper.. I did get him out though.. i guess he owes me a bumper.. LMAO!

Blizz: What kinda deal?? shipping?? lol

Hawk: thanks, LMK

Ian: i'm running 32x11.50's on it now that is why it loks like it does. The torsion bars are getting tweaked this weekend. I can say that it rides really good like it is..

McCracken: This Pic i'm not kneeling.. http://glen.dodgedakotas.com/hop/After_Lift_Long_Shot.jpg And the T-bars are about 1" low in the front...

Superbee: I don't want a 3" body lift.. If i get a brush gaurd or anything it will look like crap..IMHO.. All your acc's stay on the frame while the body moves up..

Saffron: for the kit by it's self i'm not sure.. i just gave the guy $1,800 US to do the whole lift, Labor included. It cost me more than that in new parts, they didn't charge me any labor to put new stuff on inplace of the old.

Dakota: You tires look great.. How are they on the road? i do 6-10 hour road trips all the time.. The Pierellies i have on there now are super quiet on the road and handle well in the sand..

Born2steel: I have a SLT so i need a chrome one.. I've found a place here that does refurbished bumpers.. My front i got for 180 when i bent it.. i'm thinking about going with a ranch hand..

It's not the driver.. it's those POS bumpers that Dodge calls bumpers.. Why put a place for a ball if the tounge load is only good for 200#'s?? I've pulled stuff w/ it b4 and had no problems. I was even using a pos rope that wasn't much bigger than my dogs leash.. =/ Oh well.. live and learn..
