Message: No stupid questions my man. All is cool. I made my own. Went to Lowes and bought that rubber floor trim used in schools/doctors offices/etc. Cut it to size and used self taping screws and they look great.

I figure i can make it look good by drilling a hole and useing fender grommets.. I should be able to pic up a sack of those cheap.. then it's just drilling a hole and pushing them in. They stay in really good and i don't have to worry about them rusting out. Plus one tug on them and i can remove them easy.

Message: All you need is some of that black plastic stuff that is used for edging around flower beds and some outdoor adhesive/ caulking. I think it cost me about $15 to $20 total. No drilling, that promotes rust.
Simply measure what you need, then cut it a little long. Test fit, then trim off any excess along with that big edge and the "keeper lips" that would have held it in the dirt if you were using for what it was intended. Then lay a bead of the adhesive and slip it in place. I put mine in almost 5 years ago and they are fine. If I need them out, all I have to do is grab one end and pull. To put them back, just re-glue! Oh, this trick also made me $35 in the "Cheap Tricks" section of 4 Wheeler magazine, so I guess for me, it was free. :)

Message: Well.. i looked in Lowes and in home depot. I cant seem to find anything that looks like it will work.. the only stuff they have is 3" wide.. I need more than that in the front. I think i'm going to see if i can find some mudflaps off a rig. And if i can't i guess i'll need to order some abs plastic from mc master carr... All the garden trim things here are high dollar.. They are really rigid and don't bend very easy. I was hoping to find some rubber/plastic at least 10"x30" for the front..

Message: Hey guys, I only did the guards on the rear. I used the 3in rubber floor/bottom wall trim thats used in sdchools etc. Its on a big spool near the tile/carpet stuff. I used the black 3in stuff. Pliable but not too much. And CHEEP! I did nothing with the front. I live in FLA and all the cool I can get is good. My engine is not a show engine NEways. Plus the stock ones hit my headers and caused a faint smell. Later.

Message: Ok guys.
My fiancee works at a place called Consolidated Plastics. The web site is consolidatedplastics.com You can look under "commercial mats and matting". Then click "warehouse matting". Then click "Rib Mat Corrugated Vinyl and Rubber Matting". Then click "rubber matting". Then pick the size and color you want. The web site has it listed in 75ft rolls, but they will custom cut lengths for you. It is only a couple bucks a foot. I got a the 24in wide by 6ft long. Cut the width in half and this will give you a piece plenty wide, and easily enough to do all four wheels.
If you want the 24" wide in black the item number is 115372DC. Call 1-800-362-1000. Ask for Jamie, and tell her Brian told you to call.
Then go to Lowe's and get a pack of Zinc coated (less likely to rust) self drilling (also self tapping) screws for 2.97/box of 75. You should have the whole thing done for under $30.

Message: I just finished filling in the gaps on the front of my 2000 QC 4x4. Total cost was around 13.00 and about 1.5 hours of my time. I found the gap fillers at home depot for $2.50 each and the fastners at pep boys.
