Message: First things first, Dan.
We need to know what year is your Dakota and is it 4WD.
Here's why:
The front suspension is coil-over-shock beginning in 2005. Before 2005, 4WD and 2WD systems have different front and rear suspension configurations. 4WD front uses torsion rods and 2WD front uses coil springs. 4WD rear suspension has leaf springs over the rear axle and is easier to lift than to drop, and 2WD has leaf springs under the rear axle and is easier to drop than to lift.

Message: i have a 2002 quad cab 4wd.... i really want to lift it but i think the three inch suspension lift is a little short but im not sure...and most people i talk to have 3 inch suspension and three inch body... i think six is two high.... thats why i would hope to see some pics of some one with just a three inch lift...... so i can decide to go all out six inches or smaller three inch
