Subject: 05 Question IP: Logged
Message: I have a 05 2wd SLT club cab with a 3" body lift in the rear. I keep reading about torsion bars and cranking them. Since I'm new to doing my own work, I don't know where these are or how to crank them. I was wondering if I could do this to my truck, and how I could go about doing it.

Message: I know on the 4x4 there are no torsion bars. coil springs instead. You'll have to get coil spacers to lift the front. Trailmaster sells a set for around $90.

Message: Will that work on a strut though? The 05 has struts, not shocks, for some reason.

Message: Yes, but youll have to disassemble the strut assembly. Thats why youll need the coil clamps.
