Subject: P.A. 3" Body LIft on a NV3500 4.7L QC
IP: Logged

Message:
Hey guys I've looked around a bit and it seems most of the guys with the 3" P.A. body lift are quite happy with it!
I'm just wondering if this lift works on the manual transimission as well? does this affect anything?
Has anyone done it on a QC with the 5spd Manual?
Any hints and help would be greatly appreciated!
Would like to know before I order my lift!
thanx

Just put one in mine last week. You'll have to cut the stick and weld it back togeather with the 3" spacer supplied with the kit. make sure you weld it back in the correct spot, or it will not shift. Chris

I put the kit on my 2004 quadcab 5sp auto 4x4 in prep for my 285/75R16s or 255/85R16s. It takes two people to install this kit. It took my buddy and I 10hrs to install it in my garage. My kit was missing the bolts to raise the front bumper. Since you have a manual tranny, you will need a buddy who can weld. Get an old inner tube from a commercial truck tire shop, they have popped tubes on their trucks returning from calls. They should give you one free. You will cut this tube into 1/4s. You can cut these up to make front skirts for your fender well. The back fenders don't need them. You will spend about five bucks on plastic body pins to put them in place. I love the lift! I'm sending you some pictures. I have the stock 245/70R16s in these pictures. My fellow workers say that it looks like a 4x4 now. The hitch looks just fine after the lift.

It took me and a buddy about 7 to 8 hours. did not want to rush it. Other tips make sure your cab, bed, and bumpers are lined up and strait. I'll try to get you some pictures,(bad camera). love how it looks. well worth it. I put on 33x12.5x15. still working with the rub. I would recommend going with a 32x11.5x rim size to eliminate the rub problem. Good luck and happy lifting.

I wanted to hot 32x11.5X16 on my stock rims so sounds like it should all work out!
