Message: Just out of curiosity and for reference in the near future, I pose a question to all you Dakota-savvy folks. I am going to be lifting my 4WD 2003 Dakota within the very near future, and I am torn between two different heights--6.5" and 8.5". Would anyone out there have any approximate ideas as to what tire sizes I could stuff under there with these different lift heights? I'm interested in getting Super Swamper TSL Radials for my beloved Dak--we've already got 36's on our '98 Ram and they're great tires--but I've never lifted something as small as a Dakota before so I know it will be very different from the Ram. I know some of you out there have big lifts on your Dakotas, so any input would be really appreciated. Help a lady out, y'all! ^_^
Message: You must be speaking of an AIM industries or Truckin Suspension lift by the numbers you list. Good luck to you! If not then I am not sure what lift you found to be that high. A few will back the lifts but a search for Truckin suspension or aim on this site will educate you some. Might want to read up on that company.
You'll prolly get some 35's to fit with that lift but weak Dakota Front suspensions will crumble if you use it for what it is made for running 35's. If you keep it on the street you will prolly be ok for a while. If you wheel it be advised.
