Subject: bumper brackets IP: Logged
Message: me and a friend of mine raised his rear bumper on his 1989 GMC S-15 last thursday(we drilled new holes in the frame) cause he bought the trail master body lift, and they don't come with a rear bumper bracket and he said that he was going to make new ones out of better metal for the front than what they sent him cause he said they were too weak looking.
So what i am wanting to know is how strong are the bumper brackets that come in the PA body lifts for a 1998 dak. i won't be pulling a trailer with the rear bumper cause i have a towing package.

Message: I would not try to tow anything at all with the bumper. Mine look fairly strong, but I might be wrong. I wouldn't want to have a crooked bumper.

Message: I moved the rear bumper up 2" for my 3" Body Lift so that the holes for the receiver would line up with the holes for the bumper. I only got 2 of the 3 bolts in and works fine for a step.
