Message: I have a 2000 4x2 that I want to lift. I would like to get 33's on it without trimming. Is this possible? If not what is the biggest size tire you can use without trimming and rubbing. Any info and pics would be great.

Message: 33's would rub, definately. When i had my 2wd dakota, i lifted it 6 inches (3 inch susp, 3 inch body, 2 inch shackle lift in the rear)

that's with 31 inch bfg mudders. I did go with goodyear mt/r's at 33 but they rubbed quite a lot. I could've tried 32's but decided to go with 31's so there was NO rubbing at all.

Message: Chaximus,
how did you adjust your backspace? Your rims look stock; did you use 2 inch wheel adapters? where did the 33's rub? frame or fender?

Message: yeah my rims were stock with 2 inch adapters. That put alot of stress on my bearings and i had to replace them once. I then went with the AR 767 black rims with 4.5 backspacing. Those rarely fit but hit the brake lines so the shop repositioned the brake lines and i was able to run 4.5 backspaced rims. 33's rubbed on the fenders. mostly the rear part of the fender up front.
