Message: You can get some spacers but buying new rims is the best way to change you BS.
How much less of a BS are you looking for or what are you trying to do?

Where could I buy some spacers? and how much do they cost and how hard are they to put on?

Message: What size tire did you decide on? THat will make a difference if you can do spacers or not. You only want to use spacers that are up 3/8" since they attach to the hub before the tire goes on. Simple to install. They slide right on.
You may need to buy rims maybe the AE589's or something to accomplish what you want. Or something with a BS of 4.5" but it all goes back to what size tire you plan on running to get them even with the fender flares.

Message: Ok let see if this helps tell me if you see the look you are looking for within these 5 different tire combos.
Ok this is Stock rims 16x8 with 285x75x16 AT's truck lifted
>
This is 15x8 stock rims before the lift running 33x12.5x15
This is a set of AE 589's with 32x11.5x15 BS of 3.25" with lift on. Perpetrate is the Red truck he is on some 33x12.5x15 on stock wheels.
This is the same set up but flexed with lift on
I think you are looking for the second photo but maybe with these all side by side it will help you determine what you want to run and look like.
This last one is No lift flexed 33x12.5x15's. For me the bumper made it easier to run the 33's with no lift.

Message: I like the looks of all these trucks. LOL
But i think that look im goin after is the 2nd picture. You said it has 33x12.5x15 on it. I dont think Im wanting to run 33"s, maybe 32x12.5x15. or if I could backspace my wheels that have right now,I would really like to run 32x12x15 and make them stick out a little past my fender flares.
Is backspacing spacers somthing i could buy at a store or out of a catolog, or is it a type of home made washer that you just slide on before you put your wheels on?? I would love to be able to backspace my stock wheels because I really dont have the $ to buy a new lift, wheels, tires.
You mentioned that you have to be carefull when backspacing your wheels with spacers because it puts a lot of stress on the ball joints? whats the maximum I could space my stock rims and not hurt my truck???

Message: For what you want and since I think you are using 16" rims you should go with a 285x75x16 AT or MT that you like. Maybe use a 1/4" spacer if you want to. But I would stay at that. If you get rub on the frame then a 1/4" spacer wont hurt. You can run this on the street with almost no rubbing without a body lift but will need to trim a little, you will need to turn you torsion bars up also. You should really lift it if you go larger than 31" tires, Especially if you off road or flex your truck. If you want to buy rims then get some with 4.5" of BS may be tough to find some you like tough. You should be able to get spacers from a auto store or performance store. They had to have mine made.

Message: I found some wheels that i like one tyres1.com They have a 4" backspace, will the 4" backspace make the wheel stick out more or less than a wheel with 4.5" backspace?
I have the stock wheels that are 15x8, you told me once but i forgot, how much backspacing is on them?

Message: Yes a 31x10.50 will fit a 15x10 but your tread will look narrow and the sidewalls will angle out and be more likely to rip the sidewalls up if you go wheeling. Anything from a 10.50-12.50 will fit best on a 8" wide rim. 12.50 or wider and i'd go with a 10" wide rim.

Message: the wheels i plan on buying have a 4" backspace. I dont really plan on taking my truck mudding or four wheeling, just only when I go hunting will my truck see off road action. Is wheels with a 4" backspace all right for everyday use on the highways?? or is it to much backspace???

Message: Not Enough you mean, 5.5" is to much for wide tires.
What wheels are you looking at???
I am still looking for wheels in the 4.5" to 5.0" range with not to much luck besides Weld Racing. They have some at 4 5/8".
You will be fine for everyday driving ans some off roading. It may rub on the outside of the fenders and ball joints are always a consern but more so with greater offset. Good luck and take pix.
