Has anyone changed these bushings with aftermarket ones?
I have read that these greatly reduce any vibrations and noises in the cab.

I ordered my 3" body lift today and am wondering if I should order some bushings as well.

I dunno who makes 'em for my '00, does any one else know?

I would wait a few years. With new bushings, you might actually make it louder since they are usually polyurethane. From what I know, stock(newer models) bushings are design to be the smoothest and quietest, aftermarket bushings hold-up much longer but don't offer the same qualities as the stock ones. Just my .02 cents. :-)

O.K. so these aftermarket polyurethane bushings are mainly for older rigs with dried up garbage bushings.
Cool...
Since you don't recommend changing the ultra high tech super soft sound absorbing vibration dampening Mopar bushings, is there any other enhancements that I should be doing and would be easier with the body 'disconnected’ from the frame?

If your into car shows you could paint the frame... hehe.
Other than that I think your good to go!! :-)

Oh yeah, make sure the gap between the bed and cab is good and even, along with the alignment of the too bodies. I had to play with mine a bit to get things to line-up. After that, OFF-ROAD time!!!

Has any one used "Lift Lips"?

Is there a 'backyard' alternitave to them and where/how do they connect?

I am now this || close to joining the "LIFTED" club with my 4.7 CC 4x4.

Thanks

Energy suspension lists a part # for the Gen1 Dakota 2wd chassis bushings, but not for the 4X4. Did Chrysler actually have different body mounts for the same body style/year truck because one had 4 wheel drive?! Or will the 2wd chassis bushings fit on the 4X4? I really need to know!
Also can anyone give me a definite website/phone Number/part number for an underdrive 3 belt crank pulley for '89 3.9...One that uses the other original pulley locations on the alternator, water pump, and ps pump. I don't really want to reengineer the whole acessory drive system to run serpentine belts- just slow everything down up front a bit!

No one has mentioned the fact that Dokota's front end bushings wear out fast. My 97 has 30k miles and the control arm and tie rod bushings are already going. Mopar doesnt offer better ones. Energy suspension nor Prothane do either. Does anyone know where I can get something better so I can get rid of these annoying squeaks for good? SHANE

Backyard alternative

We used some old tractor inner tubes and cut them to size in order to fill the gaps. Then we used some plastic rivet type screws from an automotive part store to attach them to the existing inner plastic fenders. Look good to me, do the job, saved me money....

Just my 2 cents
