Message: Well I finally got a 1/4 mi. time and it is right on where everybody said, 14.02/98.00 JUST KIDDING!! It was 16.35/82.41.I ran with THIRSTY R/T from the R/T site, he ran a blistering 14.78/93.35.My nephew got it all on tape, two black daks going at it and the angle makes it look like it was a close race .Well now to get back to fishing,or should I go one more time, hmmm.

Message: Go back to the dragstrip! Life seems better at the end of the dragstrip, and there's no fishy smell to get rid of.

Message: Hey.. Thought I'd make sure that you didn't tell anyone you beat me.. Ha ha .. Just kidding.. That was a fun day for sure... I was a bit disappointed with my times but I was running heavy. I know I know, not compared to you. :) But still around the 4150 lb mark (with me)...I picked up some mph though.. That was good.. I got a .35 second and 2.5 mph gain that day with cutouts alone. And I still could not 60'. I was scared to be aggressive on teh line since my last time at the track I was spinning so hard that I was in 2nd gear after about 40ft. Still, not too bad for the conditions.. I think I can do a 14.3 at 94 or so this fall (maybe better), with the PCM installed and lighter race weight.

Message: Hey swampdak, that time is pretty good for a heavyass 4x4 CC. For comparisons sake my '98 CC 4x4 5.2 auto did a best of 17.09@79.85. L8R!

Message: Thanks for the response guys I have been out of town and just saw them today.Buy the way I squeezed 23mpg(Canadian)19mpg (American)out of my Dak highway driving this trip!Thats a really nice truck you got there Thirsty Dak,with those cut outs I was not sure if mine was running. My nephew got a really good video of us racing I will try and get a copy for you if you want? Thanks for the comparison Kicker It is really easy to race these 4x4's I just floor it and get about 20 ft. of wheel spin and the auto trans does the rest,I have made three runs now and they are all exactly the same. My truck shifts at 5300 and it sounds pretty tapped out at that RPM .Sounds like the 5.2 is pretty close to the same 1/4 times.

Message: Are you going to try and get the video digitized? Ya, a copy would be great. Don't have one of my truck with the cut-outs open yet. OR one in the daylight either. I have to say that I get a real kick out of the noise that the truck makes with the caps off. I measured it at over 140dB... Thats loud.
Later,
James
