Message: for r/t owners with the spark knock blues that just won't go away even with 93 octane. use a 180-185 thermostat factory cpu programmed to run best at 182 degrees. reason for spark knock with 195 is coolant pocketing and combustion chamber running to hot.
also get rid of the C series plugs they don't have a broad enough heat range to run our beloved r/t 5.9. switch to a N series plug but first remove spark plug sleeves. a RN9YC at the track and RN11Yc for the street is a good starting point for stock or slightly modified engine. remember the more mods you have the colder the plug you should use.
also if your running cold air induction scrap it it isn't helping as much as you think. the best application for the 5.9 is edelbrock breather part number 1221 and adapter 8093 more cold air flows through this than cold air induction.
good exhaust flow can be achieved by using 1992 exhaust manifolds and y pipe. 92 manifolds have a 2 1/8 opening r/t manifolds 1 7/8 opening you do the math. passenger side part number 53006618 and drivers side part number 53006617.

Message: If you're trying to maximize your spending money...
1) Buy a used set of Mopar/PPH headers from one of the people who upgraded to the GS Motorsports headers. You can usually find a set of uncoated headers for about $250-300 or coated for about $400. Check on E-Bay or one of the R/T forums to find people selling them.
2) Get the Mopar Performance PCM. This should run about $280-300. You can buy it from a variety of Dodge-related retailers such as www.southeastrt.com or www.socaldakota.com.
3) Get the Mopar Performance M1 2bbl manifold. This will run about $400 shipped with the installation kit, and drastically helps your >3000rpm horsepower.

Message: I am not a vendor, I do not directly sell any products at all. Occasionally I help collect orders for a manufacturer or vendor for a group buy. The Harland-Sharp group buy was being hosted by John Mercedes at www.southeastrt.com, all I was doing was helping spread the word about the sale price and helping answer various questions.
I do think that 1.7r roller rockers (regardless of brand) are another good bolt-on for performance, but most people usually put roller rockers on after a handful of other parts. I think the main reason for this is to give them time to decide whether they will be doing a full heads/cam/rockers setup in which case a 1.6r adjustable roller rocker is the most often used option.

Message: Any time you take hot air from under the hood . you loose HP.. the Cold air Induction that came with my 2001 was put there for a reason more HP less knock. this is from the old school and still holds true today.
