Message: those look just like the JBA ram horn shorty headers. Actually identical. They are a good set of shorties, equal length. Id say yeah those are some nice shorties for the price but i would look into it more if i were you. Whatever you buy though, id definately recommend getting them ceramic coated.

Message: I've seen these things on ebay occasionally and wondered the same thing. I dunno whether to drop the 200$ and give it a try or if I'd be wasting my time. Offhand, how much does ceramic coating headers cost? Thanks,
-Nick

Message: They are absolutely NOT good at all.
I picked up a set, a buddy here in Houston with me picked up two sets. Just to see what they were like.. the welds on every port look like they were done by a 5 year old. The inside of the collector has so much buildup from the welding it looks like there's a large coral reef system in there.
They might be good if you spend some good time with a grinder and grind down all the welds (what I started doing, got one side 90% done before I just got tired of all the effort) but even then their performance gain is questionable.. the guy put them on his truck here in houston, after cleaning them up with a grinder, said he barely felt anything at all, and his exhaust seemed to get quieter even.
I'd pass if I were you.

Message: Waltherone,
I was thinking about getting a set as well. I'm so glad you and your friend took the bullet for all us Dakota and Durango owners.
Many thanks.

Message: Those are bascially JBA headers they dipped in chrome - I believe.
I bought a set of just straight JBA headers from elitecustoms a few weeks ago - and noticed exactly what Waltherone had said. Lots of slag on the inside - coral reef is the best description. I cleaned mine up real good, and mounted perfectly. Mine was on a 4.7 though. Infact I've called these guys about some on ebay a while back, and it sounded like they were selling off messed up ones with blemishes.
Just FYI.

Message: I bought a set of cheap headers off E-Bay, probably from the same source. The left one wasn't machined flat to the motor and wouldn't seal on the bottom after $550 dollars including installation. I then ordered some Gibson's that fit right and work great. So $1250 later I have a good set up. Cheap ain't so cheap sometimes.

Message: If someones wants a pair they're forsale cheap. Just grind the drivers side flush and they'll work fine. The passenger side fit perfect. For the 4.7 of course. I had them on for about a week and the exhaust marked the leaky one perfect for machining.
