Subject: Changing Lug patern IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1999 v6 2wd dakota. I was wondering if any of you have looked in to changing the Lug Pattern on your trucks. I would like to convert to 5-5.5 like on the Rams. I have a Ram rear axle, but i was wondering if anybody knows about changing the front, it has disc breaks, DO ram discs fit? Any help would be greatly appreachated.
Thank You
Chris

Message: Moser Engineering. You can send them a set of your stock rotors and they will re-drill them for 5 on 5.5 or whatever bolt pattern you want.
For the rears, you would have to have your axles removed and the same process repeated and have your brake drums modified the same way to match. It's a lot of expense on a '99. On a 91-96 Dakota, it's easier. You can just bolt-on 87-90 Dakota rotors (which were 5 on 4.5) and swap a rear end from one of the same trucks.

Message: b1llyw, redrilling the rotor won't do much. On a 99 he will still have the 6 lug hub assembly.

Message: Damn. Well, I'd still give Moser a shot. They may have a way to do it.
