Subject: M1 & 52MM TB?? R/T
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 99 RC R/T and I think I did my mods backwords because I put Mopar headers and MBRP Catback exhaust first. Then Mopar PCM And Cold Air Intake, this stuff definetly helped from stock but didn't do what I though it would. I talked to Marty @ KRC and he said that I should have worked on intake first (M1 & 52MM). So anyway I ordered a M1 & 52MM TB because I do plan on heads and cam down the road do you think the M1 & 52MM Will make a big difference?? I am hoping it makes everything work all that much better!! Last question how many tenths in the 1/4 mile would this knock off roughly??? Thanks In Advance...

The M1 and 52mm TB will really wake your ride up. You should see low 14s with that combo, maybe high 13s in a reg cab. If the main cat is still in place, get rid of that too.

I have a RC, with those mods was 14.6 second truck.

Getting high 13s takes approx 285-295 rwhp.

I run a 13.98@100 mph now, 290 rwhp.

Sam,

I think you are right about on the money about 1/4 mile times because with the mods I have that I mentioned in the original post without the M1 & 52MM TB I can only get 15.00 out of it and seems to die in the high end power, I think 14.6 is very realistic. Thanks for the response, also would you say that heads and cam are my next bet?? And will that hurt my every day driveablitly/reliability??

The heads and cam got me to where I am now-- very mild, and perfectly driveable on a daily basis.

I had the PCM flashed up to shift higher, 5600 rpm. The truck gets 15-16 mpg highway at 75 mph on cruise.

I also run Crower rockers.
