Subject: nitrous oxide IP: Logged
Message: i was wondering if some one could give me some kinda insight on there own experinces.i have a 96 dak v6 and i love the take off and my second gear but my third gear isnt fast at all and i was wondering if maybe i could run a small shot of nos to were it would shoot in my third gear with out having any long term efects of screwing up my emgine.its a v6 5 speed bone stock.

Message: it will only come on at WOT, and in any gear. if you are planning on using it for a lot of street use, i wouldnt do it... the cost of filling the bottle will get expencive.

If your in 3rd your most likely not @WOT, if you were it would probably kik down into second (assuming you have an auto).
If you use N2O too much without being @WOT is IS damaging to your engine.
Anie up and get a supercharger, that'll give you some 3rd punch.

Message: Never heard of anyone picking one gear outof 5 and sayin they only wanted more power there. :-D
If you go N2O you WILL find yourself using it in more gears then just 3rd, its just to addicting.
There is no diputing N2O wears out an engine a little faster, anything that increases cylinder pressure or combustion makes more heat which in turn wears out metal to metal surfaces but hell...nothing lasts forever, why not have the most fun out of it for a shorter period of time?
