Subject: sway bars IP: Logged
Message: I've got a 2000 4.7 cc with R/T coils, leafs, sway bars, and wheels. I have added eddlebrock shocks as well. I don't want to drop my truck anymore but I would like improved handling. Does anyone with stock R/T suspension have any experience with hotchkis or addco sway bars. I'm leaning toward the addco bars for financial reasons but if the gains are minimal I would go with the hotchkis. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Message: The Hotchkis bar is damn impressive. The stock R/T sway bar is the same as all the other Dakotas. The only difference is it always has a rear one, where some Dakotas (mine) didn't.
Where are you looking to improve handling? Understeer, oversteer, traction, etc.
I will tell you know that tires will make more of a difference in handling than any other single modification. What tires are you running now?

Message: Right now I am running kuhmo ecsta 711's. I would like to get rid of body roll which as far as I know should also immprove traction. It also feels like a have some slight understeer.
