Hello Everyone. I Have not posted on this board before
and I am just getting into working on my truck. I have
(like I stated in the topic) a 1993 Dodge Dakota LE with
a 5.2L 318 V8. I am going to replace or rebuild the
engine soon. I am looking to really to get all I can out of
the engine. I am going to get this all done before putting
it in. I need everyone's opinion on what are the best
mods (in their opinion) for getting more performance. I
am willing to go as far as superchargers, nos, however,
not an engine swap. Any help with this would be great.
My project will surely be posted on here (audio, engine,
lowering, tranny, paint, etc., etc.) Thanks

~Prism

Welcome! I had a '92 RC 5.2 auto 3:55 for 9 years. Some mods: 2" front spindle drop, 1" springs, 2 1/2" steel plates w/ long U-bolts in rear drop; Snugtop cab-hi shell; Mopar 25hp computer, K&N drop-in filter, Flowmaster 70 w/2 1/2" duals and 4" tips thru bumper; body color bumpers and mirrors; flares; gas shocks and front swaybar; remove air deflector at air intake/ grille; 15x7 front, 15x8 rear Centerline Saber billets; Dunlop GT Q 245/60/15 and 255/60/15. Whatever you do, keep the excellent factory exhaust manifolds: 1/4" bigger inside diameter in '92 and '93 ONLY.

I have a 93 CC Dakota 5.2 auto. I have dual exhaust, 3.92 posi, shift kit, MP computer, and NX 150hp nitrous. The engine has 162,000 miles and is still all original engine. So far to date my best time at the track on street tires with tire spin was just recently (5 days ago at Atco Raceway in New Jersey) a 13.2 et at 103 mph. Will be going again this Tuesday with Mickey Thompson E.T. street drag tires to see if i can get into the 12's. You can do the same or you can also do what i already have for my truck...which is a 408cid stroker magnum made from a 5.9 magnum. I did not put this engine in yet cause i am waiting for my stock motor to blow up. When it does it will go in real quick!! It is purposely built to handle 250 hp shot of nitrous! Good Luck with your truck ( what ever mods you do ).
