The main reason to use B&G Chrysler is because there is no such thing as the Mopar PCM for 2001-2003 years - they must be reprogrammed to get benefits similar to what the Mopar PCM provides.

If you own a 1997-2000 Dakota and have the Mopar Performance PCM for that year, I wouldn't recommend getting a B&G flash. It has been reported that the B&G's power curve is slightly more aggressive than the Mopar PCM, but I don't think it would be worth the $530-630 cost to have it flashed. You would send your stock PCM to them for programming unless you need something to fall back on for emissions/low-octane fuel, etc.

The Mopar PCM allows higher shift points than the B&G flash.

Stock = 4800rpm.
Regular B&G flash = 5000rpm.
B&G M1 PCM = 5400rpm.

Yeah I can run to 6000 but I'd have to shift it manually
