Message: Help! Got a missfire in #5 cylander. Dealer says due to contaminated fuel. Wants to replace tank, lines, pump, injecters for $1600. Cant I just replace injecters myself and dump something in the tank to clean out the system? Seem like i just got one plugged injecter and they want to replace a bunch of stuff they dont have to. How hard is it to replace injecters anyway? I've never done that before.

Message: For the $10 or so for a decen fuel system cleaner I would try that. Maybe even empty what is in your tank now into something (like a chevy or something, do us all a favor) and put in 10 gals or so plus this stuff and run it basically dry then see how it runs. All you are out is the $10 for the fuel system cleaner and a few gallons of bad gas...

Message: you can actually have the injectors pressure cleaned. They hook up a line to the injectors and literally blow all the crud out of them. Cant do it yourself though. Injector cleaners are a scam.
