i was thinking about getting NOS, but i've heard it cuts your engine life in half. is that true? is it the bad for your truck? if i had it, i would only get like a 50 shot one and i wouldnt hardly use it ever.

One of our local guys has been spraying 125-150 shots for about a year now on his 2000 model CC R/T with no problems. I've sprayed 100 shot on my 2002 CC R/T several times (just got the kit over a month ago) and have seen no problems either.

FWIW - We're both running Nitrous Express EFI kits with the GenX2 upgrades, as well as MSD Digital 6 ignitions to pull timing and limits revs.

a nitrous oxide system is not bad when used properly.

NAWS on the other hand....well you cant use less than a 300 shot, and you have to have a cool air intake and a stand alone fuel thing.

sorry. couldnt resist.

i use NITROUS, have been for a few months, use 75 shot w/ no timing taken out, and the only problem i have had is a fuel pump and a screwed up valvespring, both of which probably would have happened regardless of the spray.
