Message: Recent truck mag had an '03 1500 with the Hemi go 15.5 and 7.99 0-60. I thought it was dissappointing but other didn't think it was too bad on this board. Considering an '02 Dak R/T CC recently ran 7.09 0-60 thru the same mag??????

Message: Sport Truck got their regular cab SLT Hemi to trip the lights in 15.15@89.23mph. 0-60 time was 7.99.
Just test drove a 3500 dually Hemi two weeks ago, and broke loose the tires at 30mph. Even with the heavy 3500, that engine moves the truck like it was a sports car. I'm more than willing to bet that a 1500 should have no problem breaking into the 14's stock.

Message: Sorry, I love Dodge but a dually spinning four wheels at 30 mph (50kms for us canadians)??? Doubt it.........especially when someone else not too long along tested a model with the 20 inch wheels and had almost no wheelspin. The ground must have been real cold...........

Message: I also have test diven a 03 dually Ram and can confirm it is a real beast. From a dead stop I bet I could pull the front wheels 6" off the ground. AND that was the automatic trans. could only imagine what a manual could do.

Message: I would really like to see a truck that can't get into the 15's break the tires loose on an auto tranny,,which is probably just hitting the low-end of 2nd gear.... Highly unlikely,,,unless it's wet,,oily,,icy,,etc...
Back to this post..... - I would think/hope that a Reg.Cab short bed hemi Ram would be in the mid to high 14's running the qtr.

Message: The other day my R/T really surprised me. It was really cold out (maybe 10 degrees) but the road was bone dry and I have my studded snows on still. I pulled ou and eased into the throttle then hammered it once I had traction. When it hit about 35mph and shifted the tires just plain broke loose! I have had good barks form the tires on the 1-2 shift before but never anything like this, and I don't even run the MP PCM in the winter! Probably had to do with the hard snow tires, but I had to let off the gas to recover because it was going sideways, so much for the studded tires! I think the dually could do it as well especially considering the dually comes with optional 4.10 gears and a low geared manual transmission. On the original topic, I don't think enough RC 2wd Hemis have been tested to get any kind of "normal". Wait until summer when all the tracks are open and everybodys gotten their Hemi broken in. I bet some stock 17" wheeled, RC 2wd, Hemi's break well into the 14's at that point.
