Message: provided you use ample ignition retard and dont get stupid with trying to use crappy fuel or spray ridiculous amounts of n20, you will not blow a head gasket. be careful though. hot weather, bad gas, or detonation can really ruin your day.

Message: When speed tweaks was up and running that had power specs. posted:
kit boost power
vortech 7-8lbs. 270rwhp/316rwtq
kenne bell 6lbs. 262rwhp/372rwtq
powerdyne 6lbs. 256rwhp/330rwtq
I haven't seen any Procharger #s yet, but they say 60-65% increase in HP. So on a 230HP 318 thats 368-380hp on the motor and that works out to about 295 at the wheels with 20% drivetrain loss(auto). A manual truck should be over 300rwhp. I have read of guys with 2000 mustang gts putting 400 to the ground with 10lbs of boost.

Message: I heard our engines don't respond well to superchargers on a pretty much stock engine.
I decided to build my engine up instead of supercharge it and have to worry about blowing gaskets or have to worry about if I'm taking out enough timing or not.
My best HP numbers I've gotten were 313 @ the rear wheels.
Better than any SCer and don't have to worry about timing or boost. And a low mileage engine is the best engine to build up. Just a little food for thought for ya.
