Message: First of all, Thanks Dan ;).
KenneBell Optimizer II. If your truck tops out at 98 mph, KB said they will not up it due to some drive line limitations (aluminum drive shaft or something like that, don't take my word, e-mail them at KenneBell), but if it was factory like mine to shut you down at 115 mph, they would up it to 135 mph. So when they flashed mine they opened it up to 135 mph, and it will do every bit of that. I just returned to the USA from Germany and ran it hard like that for almost a Year, with normal cruise speed of 120 mph and it still runs like a top, and I'm at 6,000+ feet elevation now in Colorado Springs. You can see a pic below with it setting at 120 mph coming home from a Rhein River Cruise, me and the Wife went on.
Good luck with what ever you do.
Later,
Lynn Clic the pic

Message: I've heard that turning the key to 'start' while approaching the speed limiter (approx 98 mph) will allow you to accelerate through it.

Message: the reason the key thing works is because the abs system goes into a testmode when the key is forward.
what I do is I have a wire replaceing the fuse in the fuse box on the drivers side passenger compartment to a switch fused inline. flip the switch abs goes out speadometer goes to zero and you can go as fast as the truck will possible go.
((((((DISCLAMER))))))
by the way I accept no liability if anyone tries this, if you reck do to excesive speed I'm not liable because you tried this mod.

Message: razor,
the starter won't engage! It somehow electronically diables the speed limiter though.
YOU won't be grinding your starting gears at speed.
I've never tried it my 01 4.7 5spd, has the 117mph limiter, only hit it once, only tried once.

Message: I've got a '00 4.7L CC SLT 2wd 5spd. My limiter is set at 117mph. I took my truck to 116mph once but started coming up traffic really really fast. This is on I-75 between Naples and Ft. Myers. I'd like to get some quickor anti-sway bars before I even think about doing that again. The truck got way to floaty. My truck has a two piece steel shaft. I'd like to find some exact dimensions on it if anyone know where I could find them.
By the way...it goes up to the limiter real fast. I have no doubt that it could have easily gotten to 130mph.
